I guess I’ll call it…Growth

I used to want the type of man who would ‘show me the world’; now I want a man who will help me rise above it.  ~Marilou Schnaderbeck

(Thank you God, for giving me Mark…for knowing and giving me what I needed.)

“…seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”  Matthew 6:33

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2

“Therefore we do not lose heart.  Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all .  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”  2 Corinthians 4:16-18

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”   Matthew 6:19&20

Great insight into the man showing you the world vs the man who helps you rise above it. The contrast between the goals is great…..the one who shows is not quite the one who actually HELPS.
